weekend and new frames

although I had a jam-packed full of fun weekend, I regret to say that I did not take a picture of one thing. Don't hate me, but sometimes I do find it uncomfortable being the paparazzi at gatherings.I spent the weekend at home. On Friday I went to visit my good friend, N, who had surgery last week so of course I was there to nurse her back to health with some good laughs and quality time. On Saturday, I went with my sister, to a friend's house, to help set up her nursery (she's due any day now!) I also went to a couple's shower to honor the soon-to-be mommy! The weather was so perfect and the food was delicious. Wish there were pictures to share but, a las, there are none.

On a different (non weekend) note, I got new frames to put in my new apartment. I love them. I will say that they look better IRL* They all of them came from TJ Maxx and all three together were less than $25. You can't really get a better deal than that.

And check out that sweet baby boy on the couch. He got a haircut yesterday (from me).
And this sweet picture, I had to share, he just looks so sweet and tiny. Reminds me of when he was a puppy.

weekend/week at a glance

My last spring break of my college life was this past week.
Man, am I going to miss spring breaks!
I did lots of things over the break- started moving some stuff home from my apartment, took my mom's dog, tillie, to visit my mimi, traveled- a lot, got my hair cut, visited my sister, went shopping with my little sister and big sister, got my fingernails and toe nails painted, and went to a couples shower for my friend who is getting married very soon! Whew! That made me tired just from typing all that! ha!

Here are some pics from the past weekend/week.
my mimi with tillie! they were both so happy to see each other!

my sisters sweet, baby ducks. they're mallards and they were so cute to play with and watch swim in the sink!

me with the bride to be, N!

my old college roomies, N and A.
whenever we are together (which isn't often enough), we always get a picture :)

all the girls at the shower!

some delicious, made from scratch key lime cupcakes with cream cheese icing. A told me she made these with her stand up mixer she got for Christmas two years ago! they were so good, I wish I had one right now!

A's sweet puppy, Murphy, who actually turns one years old today! (Happy Birthday Murphy!) Roo and Murphy met several months ago, but the initial meeting didn't go over so well since Roo can be sort of aggressive when there are doggie treats involved. eh hem, I don't know where he learned that. but I foresee another gathering between the two since I'll be moving home soon!

And my sweet baby, if you look closely, he's sleeping on my satin Little Giraffe pillow.
He is rotten.

Hope you had a good weekend!

St. Patty's Day

I know one cocker spaniel who won't get pinched today

If Quincy were a human (which I often consider him to be) I feel like he would be smacking the palm of his hand against his forehead- too bad his paw can't reach that far.

bumblebees

I got these beauts from one of my favorite stores, Target.
I got the bumblebees and 2 other pairs of studs for $7.99.
Pretty good deal if you ask me, which I'm assuming you are.
eh hem.

weekend at a glance

well, have you missed me & roo? we took a short, unplanned sabbatical from blogging. Okay, okay, we've only missed one week of blogs and I guess that doesn't really count as a sabatical but I know some of you missed us!
This weekend, after going to my Saturday class, I met my sister down in Tallahassee and we ate at Ted Montana's Grill.
That can easily be one of my favorite places to eat.
Red Rock hamburger, yes, please!
(I regret that I don't have a picture of my hamburger to share with you)

Here are some pics from the weekend
After eating we went to Tallahassee Nursery.
Here are some of their orchids. Pretty!
Some ferns.
I love ferns.
I have 3, eh hem, 2.
poor Henry, my bird's nest fern (which are the ferns on the bottom, center of the picture),
died a few months back.
He probably never stood a chance on my coffee table.
RIP Henry.
A fountain in a shaded area. I thought it was pretty.
Then we went to Fresh Market.
I saw this piggy and thought it was a riot!
I don't eat a lot of pork or sausage, but this was pretty clever.
And I know some of you have been missing this sweet face. I feel like I haven't included him in many of my posts and since, eh hem, he is the reason I really started this blog, I should include him more.
